Elevated CPU Usage on Virtual Machines

A configuration change deployed on 2026-05-07 at 14:20 CEST caused some virtual machines to experience reduced CPU performance, visible inside the guest as elevated steal time. There was no impact on VM availability.
Customer reports prompted investigation on 2026-05-08 from 08:06 CEST. A hotfix was deployed at 11:45 CEST and the majority of VMs returned to expected performance shortly after.

After a global rebalancing of all Resources the Incident is closed. We are still watching and improving the last 1%

We are currently investigating an infrastructure issue that may cause elevated baseline CPU usage across multiple virtual machines. Customers may experience persistently higher CPU load. Our teams are actively working on resolution. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide updates as soon as more information is available.
